Three days ago Fox announced Ben McKenzie from “The OC” will play Detective James Gordon in their Batman origin series “Gotham.” Today the cast of “Gotham” has grown a little larger as four new roles have been cast, including The Penguin and Alfred.
Let’s take a look at these roles and the actors who will play them.

Erin Richards- Barbara Keen
An emergency room doctor who is engaged to Gordon. Character description: “Joyful but with an edge of vulnerability, she stands by her future husband — which can be difficult in a world as corrupt as Gotham.”
Richards played the role of Molly on the Fox series “Breaking In” and had a recurring role on the UK version of “Being Human.”
- Zabryna Guevara- Captain Essen
Gordon’s boss at the GCPD Homicide Squad. Character description says she “balances the two worlds of police and politics with a Machiavellian skill that is as much corporate litigator as cop.”
