Here’s a deal any “Legend of Zelda” fans should take note of.

This weekend 3DS and DSi owners will be able to download “The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition” for free from the Nintendo eShop. The deal is good until Sunday February 2.

“Four Swords” is a rather unique entry in the “Legend of Zelda” franchise. Released in 2002 as part of the Game Boy Advance port of “Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past” it set itself apart from other Zelda games with its multiplayer and cooperative gameplay. In fact the only way to play the game was with other players as there was no single player option. In 2003 the Nintendo Gamecube received its own “Four Swords” game “The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures.”

The Anniversary edition of “Four Swords” was released for the eShop in September 2011 and was made available for free until February of 2012. Differences in the Anniversary edition include a single player mode and new areas.

If you want to download the game you can either scan this QR code or go to the Nintendo eShop yourself.

Are you planning on download the game? What are your thoughts on the “Four Swords” games. Let us know in the comments.
