John Lydon Joins “Jesus Christ Superstar” as King Herrod

superstar22

Many of you know John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten as the controversial and eccentric singer of the iconic punk rock band the Sex Pistols. Starting June 9th you can see Lyndon do something you never expected him to do, star in a musical. Lyndon has joined the touring cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and will tour with them all summer long. Lyndon will be playing King Herrod and will be joined by the likes of JC Chasez of N’Sync, Brandon Boyd of Incubus, and Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child. Ben Forster will be playing the lead role of Jesus Christ.

I for one am a huge fan of the original Jesus Christ Superstar and this cast, while a strange combination, has potential. If you are intrigued as me why not check out the tour dates below and see if it’s coming near you?
