Microsoft has revealed that they are in development of a Virtual Reality (VR) headset for the XboxOne and a formal announcement will happen at E3 2015.

We have learned that Microsoft has been working on this VR headset for sometime to the point that they have already started giving out DevKits for the device to some developers so that Microsoft will have a solid foundation of titles to launch in conjunction with the headset once they make their formal announcement at E3 in 2015.

Microsoft is the second console making and third major company to announce a VR headset. Sony has their Project Morpheus and the Oculus Rift which started this revitalization of Virtual Reality and its potential for gaming.  Now that Sony and Mircosoft have put their hats in the VR ring, many gamers are wondering if and when Nintendo will announce a VR device but the company has stated while they’re curious about the potential of Virtual Reality for their titles, they are taking a cautious route, waiting to see how some of other companies devices are received but making any major decisions on whether Virtual Reality would be a good fit for the company.
