‘Ghostbusters 3’ with Female Leads?

“Ghostbusters 3” has spent years in development hell and we’ve heard numerous rumors and changes throughout the years. After the death of Harold Ramis and Bill Murray’s refusal to return, any sequels made would have to include a new cast of ghoul catchers.

Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Ivan Reitman have all been rumored to be eyeing the project, but the latest frontrunner is “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig. Paul Feig would be a perfect fit, since “Ghostbusters 3” is now being described as a reboot with female Ghostbusters as the leads. Sources say that no formal negotiations have been made, only casual conversation.

Tell us what you think in the comments! Should we let the series just die?  Should we welcome a fresh take on the series and give the ladies a chance?
