Marvel’s Phase 3 Movies Announced

Marvel fans were whipped into a frenzy when Marvel Studios held a special event in Hollywood, where President Kevin Feige announced their upcoming plans for the beloved and overwhelmingly successful Cinematic Universe. Titled Phase 3, the next five years will be filled with brave heroes and dastardly villains alike, featuring both big-screen hero debuts and the return of longtime audience favorites.

What’s on the calendar? We’ve got sequels to successful blockbusters such as Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel fans will also be pleased to see the debuts of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and the Inhumans. In total, nine upcoming films for the ever expanding universe.

Chadwick Boseman was announced to be playing the Black Panther. No word on what leading lady will portray Captain Marvel. While rumors have been circling about Dr. Strange, with everyone from Benedict Cumberbatch to Joaquin Phoenix, still no word on who will play him.

November 4, 2016: Doctor Strange

May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2

July 28, 2014: Thor: Ragnarok

November 3, 2017: Black Panther

May 4, 2018: Avengers: Infinity War – Part I

July 6, 2018: Captain Marvel

November 2, 2018: Inhumans

May 3, 2019: Avengers: Infinity War – Part II
