Nintendo announces Mini NES Classic

Yesterday morning, Nintendo of America announced via Twitter that the company will be releasing a mini version of their NES console preloaded with 30 classic titles and it will be released in the fall.

‘Nicktoons’ film in production

Paramount pictures have announced that they will be producing a feature film in the vein of ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ involving famous characters from Nickelodeon.

The film will feature characters from various Nickelodeon shows including ‘Rocco’s Modern Life’, Rugrats, Doug,Ren and Stimpy among many others. Star Trek coming back to T.V. in 2017

CBS has announced that Star Trek, the groundbreaking sci-fi series, is coming back to television in 2017.

Alex Kurtzman, who co-produced and wrote the two most recent Star Trek films, is overseeing the development of this new series alongside Heather Kadin who had worked with Kurtzman on various T.V. series including Sleepy Hollow and Limitless. The new series will be produced by CBS Television Studios in conjunction with Secret Hideout, Kurtzman’s production company.

SXSW under fire for removing harassment panel

Update: The ‘SavePoint’ panel has been reinstated, according to Kotaku and that a all-day summit on Online Harassment will be a part of SXSW. YouTube unveils YouTube Red

YouTube, The Internets #1 video upload/sharing site, has unveiled a paid subscription service called YouTube Red.

This new subscription service would grant subscriber’s access to YouTube videos ad-free, access to ‘YouTube Originals’ which is programming content that is only available to YouTube Red subscribers. ‘Battle Angel Alita’ film in the works

After many years of speculating whether a ‘Battle Angel Alita’ film would be made, It’s finally happening.

James Cameron, who had wanted to direct a film adaption of the well-known sci-fi  manga series for years, is on board to produce alongside Jon Landau and Robert Rodriguez is set to direct the live-action version . 20th Century Fox will be the studio backing the project.
