“Godzilla” Sequel Coming In 2018

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced that director Gareth Edwards will return for the sequel to summer 2014’s “Godzilla”.

It made $507.7 million globally, establishing it a hit and worthy start of a new franchise.Legendary Pictures announced at Comic Con that Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah will appear in the sequel.

The sequel will hit theaters June 8, 2018. Why the four year delay? Gareth Edwards will be directing a “Star Wars” spin-off for Disney.

Gareth Edwards has had quite the career takeoff! His 2010 film debut “Monster” only cost $500,000 to make, and now he helms some of the biggest franchises in film.
