“Sherlock” Convention Coming To Europe & USA This Year

Are you a fan of the BBC series “Sherlock?” If so here is some news you might want to take note of. According to “Sherlock” fan site Sherlockology the first ever “Sherlock” convention is scheduled to take place sometime this year.

Sherlocked, as it is being called, is intended to take place in both The United States and Europe. Dates, locations and venues have yet to be announced. However it is known that the convention will last for three days. There will be activities, autograph sessions and photo ops with cast and crew, panels, discussions, merchandise and much more.

No word yet on who from the series would be in attendance.

Running the event is Massive Events in association with Hartswood Films and Showmasters Ltd. The article describes these organizations as “a combination of the talents of specialist producers on dedicated fan conventions and the hugely experienced team behind the London Film & Comic Con.” The convention has been in the works since the middle of 2013.

“Sherlock” producer Sue Vertue had this to say:

“We’re very excited to be announcing our first official Sherlock convention for later in the year, aptly named SHERLOCKED.  Massive Events  have been pestering me for ages to get a date for this in the schedule but we wanted to make sure that we had the time and energy to make it a great, high quality and fun event, and now we have! Watch this space.”

If you subscribe to the Massive Events mailing list, which you can do so by clicking here, you will be the first to receive any future updates on the convention. You can also check out the Sherlocked Facebook page and Twitter account for any updates as well.
