Most of Dante’s stuff takes place in the same universe. In Explorers, there’s a newspaper headline that reads “Kingston Falls Incident Still Unexplained.” The reporter from the end of Gremlins is Lew Landers, one of Karen’s co-workers in The Howling. In The Howling, Hollywood Boulevard, and Twilight Zone: The Movie, Miller plays Walter Paisley. In the Clamp building in Gremlins 2, there is a sign pointing to the lab from Innerspace.

Without getting too in-jokey, The ‘burbs, Amazon Women on the Moon, and all of the post-Matinee stuff doesn’t show an explicit reference.

So, with somebody exclaiming “Col. Neidermeyer’s been shot,” in Landis’ Twilight Zone segment, Animal House gets tied into the Danteverse. And with it all of the See You Next Wednesday connections, it grows larger and larger. Additionally, Eating Raoul is in there because Dick Miller played Paisley again in Chopping Mall, which also featured Bartel and Woronov as the Blands looking for a security robot for their restaurant.

    Sorry. I know. I’m a nerd of Hadley-like proportions.
