Another great BBC misdirection: emphasizing the casting of Maisie Williams so that all the fans theorized about her (I do think she’s Susan) so everyone is waiting for her to appear… and instead we get that wham of an opening.

I actually think Maisie Williams is a character within the context of her own story. Her episode is “The Girl Who Died” paired with “The Woman Who Lived.” The trailer where they know each other and his gasp of “It’s you” when seeing her – it’s a gasp of “It’s you, that girl I ran into in the previous episode!” I don’t believe that she’s actually someone from before, that all the theorizing is response to misdirection. But I could be wrong.
